The Old Princely Court was a place of residence for Vlad the Devil in the 15th century; nowadays is a museum near Lipscani Area.

And that is how this concrete & glass building – Millenium Business Center – looks now, as a result of the fire on the 26th of July, wich was a certain threat for the Armenian Church too; a part of priest’s house in the church yard was destroyed. They haven’t found out yet if the fire was just an accident or not.

The construction of this beautiful monument church of Bucharest on 43 Carol Blvd, started in 1911 and was finished on the 6th of September 1915.

The two architects of Armenian Church are Dimitrie Maimarolu and the Armenian Grigore C. Cerchez; they were inspired by Vagharšapat – Ečmiadzin Cathedral in Armenia.

On the 12nd of July, after the Sunday religious service, catholic priests and people  marched on Victory Road (Calea Victoriei) and Magheru Blvd  to Victory Square (Piata Victoriei) at Government headquarters.

There they gave Prime-Minister Emil Boc a petition in which they asked towto stop the construction of the glass and concrete tower, 75 m high, which is rising in the very close vicinity of  St Joseph Catholic Cathedral (Catedrala Sf Iosif – historical monument) causing it damages.
