Nadia Comaneci Children‘s Clinic

Nadia Comaneci was the first gymnast to take a 10 in a competition. She is one of the most known Romanians and no doubt one of the best Romanian sportswoman of all times. But she is also a person that involves in a lot of non-profit activities, trying to help other people.

One of them is Nadia Comaneci Children‘s Clinic, a  non-profit social-medical facility, opened on July 8th, 2009 in the center of Bucharest (5-7 Piata Natiunilor Unite, sector 4) , near little beautiful St.Spiridon Vechi church. The clinic provides free medical services and consultation for orphan children and other people in need

Bucharest – Little Paris

Bucharest, once known as “Little Paris”, is trying to regain its name. I visited yesterday the Old City Center and I‘ve been more than pleased to see that a part of the reabilitation of this beautiful Lipscani Area is finished and it looks really great. New cafes are opening here, as this one, Cafe Van Gogh, located on Smardan Street, next to the Romanian National Bank building, near the entrance on Lipsani Street.

Grand Hotel Continental

After some years of restoration, Grand Hotel Continental  located on Calea Victoriei, in the center of Bucharest, has been reopened.

As they say in hotel presentation on their site ” Grand elegance is back in Bucharest”.
